Period Boutique Hotel in Provence

Built in 1800, Les Frenes became a hotel in 1969, courtesy of the Biancone family. A period Napoleonic villa, the hotel is by Avignon and offers a deeply traditional, classic aesthetic, rich with antiques and original detailing. This classicism is compellingly enhanced by the serenity of the villa’s large, relaxing gardens.

All rooms come with luxurious and spacious bathrooms with some offering private Jacuzzis, and replete with air conditioning, satellite TV, DVD and wireless internet access. In the shade of the trees bordering the garden, several Provencal residences have been built, perfect for families and groups.

Originally, guests of the hotel were typically actors of the Theatre’s Festival of Avignon. More recently, the restaurant was acknowledged by numerous gastronomic guides and Hostellerie Les Frênes also became the unofficial hotel of the actors of Avignon’s Festival.
